A comics artist becomes an unwitting whistle-blower, involved in a political conspiracy leaked by a powerful press baron, and has to flee across the United States.

The Big Scandal 01 - New York Al Jackson, a young artist with an uncanny talent for drawing lifelike characters, discovers very early on that his gift can help him attract girls and influence people. He indirectly gets hired by a mystery sponsor for some obscure, undisclosed project. Instead of remaining a starving artist, he finds himself in a luxurious loft, taught by the most famous comics artists in the world, and closely watched by his lovely girlfriend Bernice, a gorgeous former 'Playmen Bunny' glamour model… who gets paid to write reports about his psychology and his behaviour for the powers that be. Then, one day, out of the blue, he learns that he must now create a series of comics strips for Playmen Magazine : his mysterious boss, press baron Faffner, pulls all the strings and pressures him to draw the adventures of "Little Anny Candy"… |

The Big Scandal 02 - Las Vegas Al Jackson is on the run. He and his chauffeur-bodyguard Aldo are being chased by killers, after he revealed a political scandal through his comic strip "Little Annie Candy". To make matters worse, his girlfriend, the lovely, double-crossing glamour model Bernice, has been kidnapped. He and Aldo hide in Vegas with fake IDs, under the unexpected protection of a mobster, so that Jackson can keep on drawing his strips at a safe house. But Al, obsessed with Bernice, refuses to go back to work unless Faffner's henchmen somehow locate her... |

The Big Scandal 03 - San Francisco Al tries to get out of Faffner’s clutches and seeks refuge within the gay community of San Francisco. Bernice catches up with him, but they’re both acutely aware that they are being watched and manipulated by Faffner’s men all along – however, "Little Anny Candy"'s political innuendoes and intentional leaks have not gone by unnoticed, which means that Al is now on many people’s hitlist ; an Asian Triad is also involved… |

The Big Scandal 4 - New Orleans Having discovered sensitive espionage secrets regarding a deadly virus, through his work for Faffner, Al, shaken by his latest adventures, takes a holiday with Bernice – but they’re constantly under surveillance and Al realizes his life is still in danger. In an attempt to protect Bernice, once again, he deliberately disappears. He ends up in New Orleans, where an Native American from the Houma tribe takes him under his wing and becomes his guide… |
